How the All-on-4 Treatment Works:
You may already be familiar with dental implants – metal posts that are surgically implanted into the jawbone to anchor prosthetic teeth. The All-on-4 treatment takes this to the next level with the insertion of implants into (you guessed it) four very specific and precise locations on the jawbone. That’s right… these 4 strategically placed implants provide a stable enough foundation to support a whole row of teeth! What to Expect with All-on-4?
During your consult with Dr. E, she will take precise images and impressions of the teeth and jaw. Her team will forward the impressions to the oral surgeon who will perform the actual All-on-Four implantation procedure, which takes approximately 2 ½ hours per arch (the implants can be placed on just the lower or upper arch, or both). Temporary teeth are initially implanted and the permanent porcelain teeth are implanted following a six-month healing period. Dr. E helps manage the process for patients from start to finish by providing consultation, managing imaging and coordinating with the oral surgeon from start to finish.
